Peter Kwan is the founder and executive director of Home Sharers of San Francisco, a community support group of home sharing hosts.  With over 1,500 members, Home Sharers was recently involved in advocating for the passage of legislation by the San Francisco Board of Supervisors to legalize short-term rentals.

Born in Hong Kong and raised in Australia, Peter has been living in the Bay Area for over 20 years. Prior to retirement -- and to launching Home Sharers -- he taught contract law, constitutional law and jurisprudence in several law schools in California, and he has published in the area of race, gender, and sexuality and the law.

Peter's will talk about short-term rentals in San Francisco, Airbnb, the political battle over legalization, the Sharing Economy, and the future of work.
