President Rhonda Poppen called the final Board meeting of Rotary Year 2018-2019 to order at 12:01 PM on June 25, 2019 at The Carlisle in San Francisco. Present were Jim Bradley, David Dye, Dan Joraanstad, Lynn Luckow, John Mathers, Kathryn McCall, Luis Moran, Scott Plakun, Sacha Shashi, Frank Yoke, Gary Dales, John Dean, Dora Dye, and Michael Petricca. Club Secretary Luis Moran recorded the minutes.
The Board:
- Reviewed and discussed upcoming events on the Club calendar for July 2019.
- Agreed to table any nominations for Rotarian of the Month until president-elect Casey Blair takes office on July 1, 2019.
- Discussed reporting criteria for grant recipients.
Luis thanked Dora Dye for recording the minutes at the May 28, 2019 Board meeting. The Board then reviewed and approved these minutes.
Treasurer Jim Bradley went over the balances for the Rotary Club of San Francisco and Rotary Service, Inc. He added that income from membership dues has been higher than projected. The Board reviewed and approved the Treasurer's reports.
Membership VP Dan Joraanstad reported that the Club increased membership by 15% in the past year. He presented new individual member applications for the Board to consider. The Board approved Terry Pickering and Paul Robertson for membership.
Dora announced that she had completed reconciling the membership records between our ClubRunner and Rotary International. She also reported that the Club Google drive will be organized and ready for the new Rotary year.
Scott Plakun reminded everyone that promotional materials must be sent to him to check compliance with branding guidelines. Michael Petricca sought resolution to an IT issue affecting electronic payments at luncheons. John Mathers discussed a skills assessment tool to connect projects, people, and clubs.
President Rhonda thanked the outgoing Board members.
