January 2018 will usher in an era of legalized use of marijuana in the state of California. The Green Rush is on a trajectory that will make this state’s “pot revenue” larger than all other “Cannabis” states combined. Richard Corriea will provide an overview of the market grab currently being fought by big businesses and small entrepreneurs to share in the multi-billion dollar cash revenue due to begin arriving in January. Yes, the green product delivers a lot of green—and that represents a myriad of problems, as federal regulations keep the entire industry all cash. This complicates banking, payment of taxes, property leasing, payroll, and many other aspects of a growing industry.

Richard Corriea is a former San Francisco Police Department Commander and currently an adjunct professor at the University of San Francisco’s School of Management. He attended San Francisco State University, and later earned both a Juris Doctorate and a Master’s degree in Business Administration at Golden Gate University. Corriea is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and a graduate of California’s Law Enforcement Command College.
