The opioid crisis now sweeping across the nation is an epidemic of epic proportions.  With many years of experience in rehabilitation and addiction counseling, Dr. Heather Brostrand will present an overview of this crisis, her insights regarding what happened, and what some of the solutions are to address this healthcare disaster.

Dr. Brostrand began her rehabilitation counseling career in California, after finishing her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at UCLA. She has been a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor since 1995, with a Master of Arts in Rehabilitation Counseling, a certificate in Drug and Alcohol Studies, and a PhD in Rehabilitation and Counselor Education from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale.
