In the first meeting of our Club’s 2018-2019 year, incoming Club President Rhonda Poppen will present information regarding Rotary’s plans to be an inspiration to others and what it means for our Club.

Rhonda is an Independent Grant Consultant, doing business as GRANTdog in San Francisco. Her professional journey has taken her from a healthcare marketer in Dallas/Ft. Worth and Charlotte, to Mayor Pro Temp of a small suburban town, to calligrapher extraordinaire for 13 years and finally to a nonprofit volunteer turned developer and grant writer. She is a firm believer that you "bloom where you are planted" and that includes looking around you to be an inspiration!

As a Rotarian, Rhonda has served in various capacities from both coasts. In North Carolina she was on the Board of Directors, served as a Junior College Rotaract sponsor, and spearheaded the annual drive to send dozens of boxes to US troops overseas. She was past Club Secretary for the Rotary Club of San Francisco and chaired last year's expansion of Emergency Services Day. Rhonda is married to Bill Poppen, also a member of our Club, and the couple has two grown children and one very large dog.

Come and celebrate the launch of a new Rotary year and welcome our new president.
