Many people like whiskey, whether bourbon and scotch.  And there are many who don’t know all there is to know about these varied and historic liquors. The Rotary Club of San Francisco’s Whiskey Tasting on March 1 at the University Club is a chance to learn more while socializing with friends, both new and old.

The conversation and tasting will begin at 6:00 PM and will be conducted by Gerry Gianni. Gerry has been in the liquor business for over four decades and is a recognized expert in several areas of the business, having introduced national brands and run the on-premise operations for Young’s Market for many years. Of particular note, Gerry has been an honored guest of numerous makers in Kentucky, Ireland and Scotland. Gerry currently offers several whiskeys as part of his national package of liquors.

Come and join us. The cost is $15 and you can sign up online. Space is limited. Appetizers will be served … and if you are more interested in learning about whiskey than drinking it, other beverages will be available from the cash bar.

Look forward to a fun and educational evening!
