Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver them to Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be emailed to you prior to your shift. It is recommended to have two drivers per route for ease: one can drive, and the other can get out at each stop to hand meals to happy and grateful participants. You must wear a facial mask covering over both the nose and the mouth when meeting the recipient. Please arrive at The Arc (1500 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA 94103) by 4:30 PM. Usually, metered parking is available in front. If you come earlier around 4 PM, you can help us bag the dinners if you like. Members of our Club are invited to join the Zoom chat and chew after the delivery of meals from 5:30 PM to 6 PM for fellowship with Friends Like Me (FLM) at The Arc. Link will be sent to you with your route prior to the day. Drivers are needed the first and third Monday of the month unless there is a holiday and the date shifts. Christopher joined the Rotary Club of San Francisco in 2019 and is proud to serve as President for the 2022-2023 year! Previously, he served as the Vice President of Development and as the President-Elect. With Rotary International, Christopher is a member of the LGBTQ+ Fellowship as well as the Wine Appreciation Fellowship. Professionally, he is Director of Special Events and Engagement for the Glaucoma Research Foundation. Christopher has a degree in Politics from the University of San Francisco as well as the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation and Digital Event Strategist (DES) certificate. In December 2022, he will complete a certificate in Marketing Management and Brand Strategy from the Harvard Extension School. Christopher provides board-level support for other organizations by serving as Vice President for Merola Opera Program and as a board member for the San Francisco Opera Guild. Christopher is a marathoner, loves travel, and looks forward to connecting with every member of the Club!

Dianne is a fourth-generation San Franciscan and has managed Leadership San Francisco for the past 34 years. She is chair of the board of directors of Children’s Home Society of California, a statewide child welfare agency providing a range of services to at-risk children and families for more than 131 years. Dianne is an active member of the Abraham Lincoln High School Alumni Association.

Mr. Kushneruk graduated and received his Master’s degree in International Law from the Institute of International Relations of Kyiv National Taras Shevchenko University and from Odessa National Law Academy. He joined diplomatic service in 2006 where he had several different postings, including Counsellor at the permanent mission of Ukraine to the United Nations and Deputy Chief of Protocol to the President of Ukraine before being appointed Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco in July 2020. Mr. Kushneruk holds diplomatic rank of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Envoy of the First class.

Today's speaker, Kevin McCormack, is the director of patient advocacy at the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine (CIRM). He considers himself to be the official translator for the agency, working to turn complex language about equally complex science into everyday English that anyone can understand. Before joining CIRM, he spent more than 20 years working as a journalist, covering sports at the BBC before moving to the San Francisco Bay Area to do health and medical reporting.

He joined The Sacramento Union’s Capitol bureau in 1975, just as Jerry Brown began his governorship, and later became the Union’s Capitol bureau chief. In 1981, Mr. Walters began writing the state’s only daily newspaper column devoted to California political, economic and social events. In 1984, he and the column moved to The Sacramento Bee, and in 2017 to CALmatters.org, a nonprofit news organization specializing in California issues. He has written more than 10,000 articles and his column appears in dozens of California newspapers, as well as those in other states. Mr. Walters has written about California and its politics for a number of other publications, including The Wall Street Journal, and in 1986, his book, The New California: Facing the 21st Century, was published in its first edition. The book later underwent revisions and became a widely used college textbook about socioeconomic and political trends in the state. He is also the founding editor of the California Political Almanac and the co-author of The Third House: Lobbyists, Money and Power in Sacramento, published by the University of California. Mr. Walters frequently appears on CNN, Fox, and other networks, commenting about political developments in California. Please note that this meeting is via Zoom only. As a retired public health/patient educator with the American Cancer Society and Kaiser Permanente, DG Gary has had a distinguished career in public health and community service. On the local level, he has served on the Boards of The American Cancer Society, American Red Cross, US Selective Service, and California Public Health Association and was appointed to be a Napa Public Access Cable TV Commissioner. On the National level, he has served on advisory committees with the American Public Health Association, Lung Cancer Alliance, National Cancer Institute, and the United Ostomy Association of America. DG Gary joined the Rotary Club of South San Francisco in 2009. He has served in many capacities with his club, including Membership Chair, Programs Chair, Foundation Chair, Board member, and Club President. On the District level, he has served as District Service Programs Chair, Assistant Governor, District TRF Annual Fund Chair, EREY/Paul Harris Society Chairs, District Chief of Staff, and is the District 5150 Governor in 2022-23. He also lends his expertise as a member of the Health and Wellness Rotary Action Group and Polio Survivor Rotary Action Group. DG Gary is also a member of the International Fellowship of Rotary Educators and the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene Rotary Action Group. He is a member of the Paul Harris Society, Bequest Society, White Hat Society, PolioPlus Society and is a Benefactor and Major Donor. When he is not busy volunteering, DG Gary enjoys his family, attending musical theater, recreational shopping, and pretty much anything that has to do with food.
