On Wednesday, September 14, 2022, our Club's Vocational Services Committee held its first networking event to kick off the year! The event was a Champagne Tasting with champagne from Chandon donated by Jason Nyeh, a start-up founder, and snacks and truffles provided by Trader Joe’s.

Club members who participated were CJ Albano, Jenny Campbell, Mary Liu, Wendy Shew, and Ozan Yasavur. Joining them were guests, bringing the attendance to 15 and professions in real estate, banking, life insurance, education, and engineering.

The Champagne Tasting was held at the workplace of Immediate Past President Mary Liu. The evening provided opportunities for those attending to share about their profession, what kind of support they needed in 30 days, and what they had to offer to the group. Jenny engaged each person by having them "crack their code" on how best to conduct business. Many synergistic connections were made, and guests who had never been to a Rotary club event plan to attend a Rotary club lunch meeting in the near future. All attendees agreed to be put on a mailing and contact list that would allow them to continue networking with one another.

The evening ended around 8 PM as many stayed later than the scheduled time to socialize and support one another in their profession. If you missed this event, please contact Vice President of Vocational Service Wendy Shew for the next event.
