President JT Harold Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco) called the meeting to order at 12:15 PM and led us virtually to the Empire Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Today marked the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. Today was also Bad Poetry Day. President JT commented on the heat wave in the Bay Area and then shared today's agenda.
San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
Dan Joraanstad (Financial Services: Advising | Retired) talked about the $10,000 grant from the San Francisco Rotary Foundation that was matched dollar for dollar, creating a total donation of $20,000 to the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. Maureen O'Shea (Governmental Relations | Retired) presented the $20,000 to Diane Stark (pictured) of the Food Bank. Allan Herzog (Financial Services: Advising | Wells Fargo Advisors) joined in and offered an additional $1,000 if 10 people in today's audience would match his donation at $100 each. More than 10 people came forward to create a more than $2,000 donation to the SF-Marin Food Bank. Diane thanked the Foundation and the generous members for the donations.

Guest Speaker
Michael Petricca (Education Management | Academy of Art) introduced today's speaker, Brian Herbert, Vice President of Security at the Chase Center, who discussed the present status of the Center and when entertainment and sports might return. Attending this meeting along with Brian were a few members of his staff. Brian compared our Club's generosity to that of the Warriors.Lena Dokuchayeva (Development | Vereschagin Law) won today's door prize, which was a $10 Safeway gift card.
Before adjourning, the Club recognized past president Jimmie Jeffery in the audience.
After the meeting ended, many stayed to sing Happy Birthday to Miranti.
