The Rotary Club of San Francisco energizes and inspires young leaders ages 12-18 by supporting Interact Clubs. Interact Clubs teach leadership skills and the value of service, while offering opportunities for social engagement.

Here is a fun fact about Interact: There are 12,300 Interact Clubs in the world, including the three our Club supports at Lowell High School, George Washington High School, and St. Ignatius College Preparatory.

Interact Retreat: Just as Rotary District 5150 has a council to organize Club collaboration and fellowship, so does Interact. The Interact District 5150 Council met at my home in July to celebrate a new year, plan for 2019-2020 events, and enjoy some pool time.

Presidents’ Kickoff Event: Club member Michael Petricca hosted the Interact District Council and each Interact Club’s leadership at the Presidents’ Kickoff in August. Over 50 youth leaders from Interact Clubs across San Francisco, Marin, and San Mateo counties gathered to plan for an effective 2019-2020 year. In keeping with our theme of Leadership, the youth led all aspects of the program, created their own peer-to-peer learning groups, and set a unique vision for the year.
