Bill Gregory joined our Club on July 13, 2021. He is a first generation college graduate, and his college education at Northern Iowa University (formerly Iowa State Teachers College) is what made his life so meaningful. His general education courses exposed him to the world, and he discovered music, arts, and humanities.

Bill majored in speech therapy. He was a speech therapist in public schools for two years in Iowa. Then, he moved to California in 1963 and worked 32 years in the public schools under the Santa Clara County Office of Education.

Bill met his partner who had just finished his doctorate at UC Berkeley. During their 47+ years together, they "flipped" properties and ended up with quite an architectural statement here in San Francisco. Since his partner's passing over 10 years ago, Bill has increased his support to the arts as well as to Rotary and other organizations. Bill joined our Rotary Club because he already knew eight members. Said Bill, "At my age of 82, one cannot have too many friends."
