On June 13, approximately 20 mothers-to-be attended the morning shower (for Spanish-speaking moms) and 11 attended the afternoon (English-speaking) shower. Two moms delivered last week and two more went into labor on the morning of the showers... so attendance was impacted!
Expectant moms received diaper bags stuffed by Les Andersen, Emily Borland, John Dean, Susan Dean, Janet Krahling, Jennifer Lee, Luis Moran, and Holly Kuang on June 11. Bags included blankets, toiletry kits, baby clothes, and diapers. Susan had spent 132 hours crocheting 11 baby blankets.In addition, drawings were held at the showers for a variety of prizes, including baby strollers, gift cards for baby products and clothing, and other items. Kelly Stieglitz and Susan & John Dean also served lunch to those attending the showers.
