E-MEETING HIGHLIGHTS July 21, 2020: Patricia Frost, Children and Disaster: Being Aware and Prepared During COVID
President JT Harold Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco) called the meeting to order at 12:15 PM. 50 participants joined this meeting via Zoom. There were no visiting Rotarians. Among the guests was Patricia Frost, today's guest speaker.

President JT commented on the return (i.e., "almost" return) of baseball. Last evening the San Francisco Giants defeated the Oakland A's, 6-2, in a pre-season game before ZERO fans at the Oakland Coliseum. This was not exactly a classic version of the national pastime, but it was a good start.

SERVICE PROJECT August 3, 2020:  Delivering Meals for The Arc San Francisco
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
 
E-MEETING August 4, 2020: Maria Goodavage, Doctor Dogs: How Our Best Friends Are Becoming Our Best Medicine
Anyone who has ever loved a dog knows how life enhancing their presence can be – especially during hard times. But did you know some dogs could actually be life saving? Dora Dye, our Club Secretary and co-District Secretary for Rotary District 5150, will take us through the services available to members on ClubRunner and our Club's website. Join Dora as she teaches you how to unlock the links so that you can more easily join Club activities and meetings and readily access Club services. This session is part of our educational series entitled 2020-2021 Becoming People of Action: Learning and Growth
 
E-MEETING August 11, 2020:  Jon Kaufman and Self-Reliant Villages
Too often NGO's in general and Rotary in particular unknowingly create dependence rather than independence. Jon Kaufman of H2OpenDoors will discuss how a water enterprise that generates over $100,000 in annual revenue, run by women in many cases, can fund other essential social services. CLUB SOCIAL August 13, 2020:  Collage and Cocktails
Join Christopher Wiseman, who will share how collage can be fun, relaxing and inspiring. After introductions and showing a few examples, attendees will have an opportunity to collage, have a drink together and talk over Zoom. This activity is open to Rotarians and guests of all ages. SERVICE PROJECT August 15, 2020:  Volunteering at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank
Join us to assemble and package food for distribution at the San Francisco-Marin Food Bank. The need for volunteers at the Food Bank has never been greater with the increased food insecurities in our community caused by COVID-19. Advanced registration is required.
