On November 3, 2021, a group of 15 people participated in our Vocational Service event - Professional Portrait and Business Networking. President Mary Liu offered her office at Vanguard Properties for this event. Pat Johnson, a well-known Bay Area photographer, took a professional headshot of each attendee.
Jenny Campbell, one of our Club's new members, led the networking during the event. Each attendee partnered with someone in the group and learned their elevator pitch. Next, each person went up to the stage and presented the partner’s elevator pitch.
On a rainy day, a small group of Rotarians ventured out to attend the Tuesday luncheon. Joining them was another group of Rotarians on Zoom. President Mary Liu (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group) called the meeting to order at 12:15 PM and introduced Jessie Austin of the Academy of Art University. Jessie now manages the audio-visual equipment during our in-person meetings, and we are truly grateful.
Nine Rotarians and friends gathered at Hoogasian’s Flower Shop on October 26 to sort and bag housewares for the Homeless Prenatal Program (HPP). It was a fun event and a change of pace from our typical projects in the past, when we bagged items for new babies.
This time, we bagged the housewares for 50 moms who are moving into new homes with their families. Items included bakeware, knives and mixing spoons, bowls, colanders, and other kitchen basics.

We live in a community in need this holiday, and here is one way we can safely make a difference and help The Arc San Francisco participants. The Rotary Club of San Francisco will deliver a meal to The Arc SF participants in need and food insecure this Thanksgiving. We’ll need volunteers to help package the meals on Monday, November 22, 2021 in the late afternoon and evening or deliver meals to participants in the Bay Area on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the morning. This is the only Thanksgiving celebration for many of the people we serve that day. And they are most appreciative.
We are not meeting on November 23, 2021; our next meeting will be on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 starting at 12 noon. We wish you continued good health and peace as you gather with family and friends to celebrate Thanksgiving 2021.
