Potential Rotary Leaders Seminars (PRLS) are a series of courses designed by Rotarians to teach Rotarians skills and techniques as they prepare to assume leadership roles in their Clubs. The program was developed by Betsy Koefoed, Bill Koefoed, and Michael Ford, all former members of our Club.

Membership Corner: July 2019
Announcing the Membership Contest Winner!
On July 23, the winner of Membership’s “Big Island Is Calling” contest was revealed. The award went to the person who introduced the most new members to the Rotary Club of San Francisco between January 1 and June 30, 2019. The winner by a landslide was Pam Hudson, who introduced four new people into the Club. Pam receives the week-long stay in Kona, Hawaii, courtesy of Harold Hoogasian. Congratulations, Pam, and thank you for moving our Club forward with vigor. A special thanks to Harold who has been very generous with the Club in supplying his Hawaiian home as a prize.

Come enjoy a fireside chat with fellow Rotarians and their guests at SPARK Social San Francisco. Grab no-host dinner and a drink at the food cart of your choice followed by roasting s’mores by the fireside pit.
 
ROTARACT July 30, 2019: New Club Charter
Please join us at the Academy of Art University Automobile Museum to celebrate the chartering of San Francisco’s only community-based Rotaract Club. This club is co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of San Francisco and the Rotary Club of San Francisco Evening. Come out and show your support for this club and meet the Rotaractors in our community. DISTRICT SEMINAR August 3, 2019: International Programs
This Learning & Leadership Development Opportunity will explore opportunities for international service projects. While it is open to all Rotarians, it is of special interest to Club leaders whose responsibility involves international service.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON August 6, 2019: Phil Ginsburg, SF Rec and Park
Phil Ginsburg, General Manager of the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department, will discuss the benefits of nature in his talk, Increasing Access to the World’s Oldest Miracle Drug.
 
Rotary Twilight Golf: August 8, 2019
Join The Rotary Club of San Francisco for a friendly round of golf and a chance to win our coveted Golf Trophy! Points are based on participation, not necessarily golf score, so all skill levels are welcome! Fellowship follows every outing. Tee time is 4:15.

This Learning & Leadership Development Opportunity will explore the work of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International (TRF). While it is open to all Rotarians, it is of special interest to Club leaders whose responsibility includes development efforts for TRF.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON August 13, 2019:  Zak Franet, Youth & Homelessness
Zak Franet, a government relations and public affairs professional as well as a dedicated advocate for youth experiencing homelessness, will speak about his path to recovery from his experience as a homeless youth with addiction.

CLUB SOCIAL August 25, 2019: Giants vs. A's at Oakland
Take me out to the ball game! Come watch the San Francisco Giants take on the Oakland A’s and mingle with East Bay Rotarians at our joint social event. Tailgating begins at 11:00 AM in the Oakland Coliseum parking lot, and the game starts at 1:05 PM.
