ALPS Canned Food Drive - A Success
ALPS Canned Food Drive on July 10, 2021Last weekend, hope4humankind, an Action Leadership Program with Students (ALPS) youth project that helps in easing and ending homelessness, held its first food drive! Eight students from Summit Shasta and Westmoor High School in Daly City came together, spending their summer organizing and coordinating a food drive to serve their local food pantries and community.

LUNCHEON MEETING HIGHLIGHTS July 13, 2021: President Mary Liu
Seventy-five members and guests in person and online combined attended President Mary Liu’s (Real Estate: Sales | JM Real Estate Group) first meeting in the new Rotary year at the Hotel Nikko. Those attending in person were treated to red sparkling wine, courtesy of guest Shirley Tan.

In today's audience were the following special guests in person: District Governor Danielle Lallement and Past District Governor Mary Bates and the following special guest online:  Assistant Governor Liz Mark. Additional guests attending in person included:  Anita Baker, Chris Bell, Larry Booth, Chato Calderon, Edna Casteel, Edita Cruz, Roselyn de Jesus, Bud Dillon, Tom Fox, Elaine Hom, Rosie Liu, Stanley Liu, Robert Melhorn, Shirley Tan, and James Wong. Online were these guests: David Alfon, Heather Atkinson, Jeff Pickett, and Aline Tong.

San Francisco’s dynamic tourism industry was especially hard hit during the Pandemic, declining almost 80% over 2019. However, as the City begins to reopen, there is some light at the end of the tunnel.
