Sheri Greenawald, artistic director of the Merola Opera Program, will provide a behind-the-scenes discussion of what it takes to become an opera star. She will talk about some of the rising opera stars and their upcoming performances, the kinds of challenges top opera performers face, and the technical issues that are at play in certain operas. Zak Franet, a government relations and public affairs professional as well as a dedicated advocate for youth experiencing homelessness, will speak about his path to recovery from his experience as a homeless youth with addiction.
