Gifts for the 2019 Holiday Party
The Holiday Party Committee is hard at work planning a fantastic party with a million dollar view. We can keep the costs down for this event with the help of generous Rotarians who donate wine and/or gift cards or who sponsor tables and/or ads for the printed program.

Thanksgiving at The Arc Highlights: November 26, 2019
Thanksgiving week is the time for one of our Club’s favorite traditions, one that dates back more than ten years: Serving lunch to clients of The Arc of San Francisco and others.

The day got off to an early start: Past Club President and Past District Governor Eric Schmautz met Lilian Tsi-Stielstra of our Club, her husband Scott Stielstra, and Jonathan Scopazzi from the Rotary Club of San Rafael at The Salvation Army’s South of Market commercial kitchen at 4:00 AM. They worked through the morning to roast 200 pounds of pork shoulder, cook 100 pounds of carrots, make a mountain of stuffing, prepare 5 gallons of gravy and decant 8.5 gallons of cranberry sauce.

ROTARY LUNCHEON December 3, 2019: Laurel Botsford and Human Trafficking
Human trafficking is a preventable crime. It is a scourge on every community, hiding in plain sight, oftentimes right under our noses. Laurel Botsford, founder and president of Wisdom International: Help2Others, will speak of her work to change the dynamics of the business of human trafficking through prevention education, legislation, and cross-county collaboration projects.
 
Diaper Bag Assembly for Homeless Prenatal Program: December 3, 2019
Join us at this service opportunity where Club members and guests will stuff diaper bags with the supplies new moms need to help care for their babies. The bags will be distributed to pregnant women involved in Prenatal Classes at the Homeless Prenatal Project. Afterwards, we'll walk down the block to Mars Bar and Restaurant for food, fellowship, and fun.
 
Salvation Army Bell Ringing: December 6, 2019
Join your fellow Rotarians and some of San Francisco's finest celebrities -- media personalities, bell ringing champs, costumed characters, local bands and much more -- as you ring bells, spread holiday cheer, and raise awareness for The Salvation Army and its Kettle Program.
 
ROTARY LUNCHEON December 10, 2019: Kevin Patterson and The Dickens Fair
Kevin Patterson will talk about the past, present, and future of The Great Dickens Christmas Fair & Victorian Holiday Party, created by his parents and held annually in San Francisco since 1970.
 
Baby Showers for Homeless Prenatal Program: December 12, 2019
Join us at one or both of the Baby Showers at the Homeless Prenatal Program where we will give expectant mothers diaper bags filled with supplies. The party for Spanish speakers starts at 10:30 AM; the party for English speakers starts at 1:00 PM.
 
 
HOLIDAY PARTY and Annual Meeting: December 17, 2019

Holiday Dinner Club at The Arc: December 23, 2019
Enjoy the opportunity to make dinner, share it with new friends at The Arc, and celebrate the holidays. Rotarians are invited to join the fun at one dinner a month: come once, or make it a regular commitment! Open to family and friends who are over 17.
