E-MEETING HIGHLIGHTS August 18, 2020: Brian Herbert and the Chase Center
President JT Harold Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco) called the meeting to order at 12:15 PM and led us virtually to the Empire Room at the Sir Francis Drake Hotel. Today marked the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution granting women the right to vote. Today was also Bad Poetry Day. President JT commented on the heat wave in the Bay Area and then shared today's agenda.

SERVICE PROJECT September 15, 2020: Diaper Bag Assembly for Homeless Prenatal Program
Join us at this service opportunity to stuff diaper bags and organize diapers and wipes for giveaway to clients of the Homeless Prenatal Program. We will meet at an open-air warehouse to allow social distancing while stuffing the bags and organizing the goods. Participation is limited to NINE people, so sign up early.

SERVICE PROJECT September 19, 2020: Rotary Meadow Restoration
Come and enjoy nature, fresh air, and fellowship while helping Sutro Stewards weed and restore Rotary Meadow - a garden of native plants our Club planted at the summit of Mount Sutro in 2004. Participation is limited to a maximum of 10 members of our Club. Advanced registration is required.
 
SERVICE PROJECT September 21, 2020:  Delivering Meals for The Arc San Francisco
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.

English spelling isn’t crazy! Nancy Cushen White, Ed.D., will present her work and research in dyslexia, a learning disorder that causes difficulty in reading due to problems identifying speech sounds and learning how they relate to letters and words. Advanced registration required.
