Today's visiting Rotarian was Rudy Asercion from the Rotary Club of San Francisco Sunset who attended in person. Also attending in person were guest Merve Yasavur and today's speaker, Rodney Fong. The guests attending online were Aida Jones and Jeanne Gnuse.
The International Service Committee of the Rotary Club of San Francisco invites you to a presentation by Sarah Crawford and moderated by Eric Schmautz to understand how Rotary is developing Programs of Scale. Ms. Crawford will discuss the process Rotary uses for vetting programs of scale and what types of projects would be applicable to a program of scale. Advanced registration required. Connection instructions will be provided to all who register.
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
This is the day when we honor outstanding representatives of the public safety departments we depend on every day: the Department of Public Health, the Fire Department, the Office of City Administrator, the Police Department, the Sheriff, and the Coast Guard. Meet the honorees and their loved ones, and hear their amazing stories of heroism and dedication told by the top brass of each department.
Doors open at 11:30 AM. Please arrive (or connect) early enough to be in place before the program begins at noon. For Club members and visitors there is a $45 charge for in-person attendance (which covers the cost of your lunch) and a $10 fee to attend via Zoom. There is no charge for in-person or Zoom attendance for honorees and other invited guests. Registration for in-person attendance at the Hotel Nikko closes on March 2. We cannot accommodate walk-ins. Zoom registration will remain open until the event is underway. IN-PERSON REGISTRATION IS NOW CLOSED.
The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival celebrates its 40th anniversary in 2022. Artistic Director Rebecca Ennals looks back over the Festival's history, including how the company thrived during the pandemic, with an eye toward creating Shakespeare that speaks to us now and in the years to come.
Come and enjoy nature, fresh air, and fellowship while helping Sutro Stewards weed and restore Rotary Meadow - a garden of native plants our Club planted at the summit of Mount Sutro in 2004. Participation is limited to a maximum of 20 members of our Club. Advanced registration is required.

This annual assembly provides a great deal of training and planning for the Rotary Year that begins on July 1, 2022. All Club members are invited, and all Club leaders are strongly encouraged to attend. Come and cheer for Christopher Wiseman as he begins his year as our Club's President.
Past President of Rotary International (2016-17) and currently chair and Trustee of The Rotary Foundation since 2018, John Germ, will speak about the direction of The Rotary Foundation, the continued effort to eradicate polio and how those resources work in other situations, the addition of the 7th area of focus, being member-driven, and the health of the organization (including Charity Navigator).

The evening features student stories of their ALPS journeys while we enjoy cocktails and wine, hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, revelry, warm fellowship, live music. The gala will raise much-needed funds to expand the ALPS program.

Join us for a special talk featuring the Japanese American Museum of San Jose (JAMsj) and learn about the history of Japanese immigrants in Northern California. Michael Sera, Board President at JAMsj, will share the importance of maintaining one of the remaining three Japantowns.
Come out for an evening of music, socializing, and dancing! Our own Rotarian, Peter Logan, and his band, 12th Root of Two, will perform in a benefit showcase concert for Blue Bear School of Music (the original “School of Rock”). Rotarians, prospective members, and their guests are all welcomed. All attendees must be 21 years of age or older. Proof of vaccination or negative PCR COVID test is required.
