We now begin a new story in our weekly Grindings newsletter. The story entitled "Rotary in Pictures" will feature photos of recent events where Rotarians have gathered. We hope that you will help this story continue by contributing your photos along with a brief caption. Please send photos and captions to Dora Dye. Photos can be about Rotarians at Club events or at Rotary-related or Rotary-affiliated, social events. Please note that once the photos are published online, others may choose to repost a photo in social media.

This week's photos are from the week of October 21-25, 2019 and were submitted by Bill Poppen and Janine Padilla. See photos here. Click on each photo to read the story.

The Board of the Rotary Club of San Francisco met on September 24, 2019; a quorum was present.

The Board reviewed, amended, and approved the minutes dated August 27, 2019 prepared by Dora Dye.

Gary Dales delivered a positive Treasurer’s report, mentioning that the Club is in a strong financial position and in the black in luncheons. We discussed unpaid Club dues and the payment of the District dues. Gary also requested resolutions to change the signers on our Club’s Wells Fargo accounts. The Board approved the treasurer's report and the signers on our Club's Wells Fargo accounts as proposed by Gary.

Come early to help prepare and serve lunch to hundreds of clients of The Arc: all people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. And stay long enough to enjoy that same lunch with your fellow Rotarians. This is the only Thanksgiving celebration for many of the people we serve that day. And they are most appreciative.
