President JT Forbus called the Board meeting via Zoom to order at 4:04 p.m. The entire Board was present. Also in attendance were Lisa Christian, Dan Joraanstad representing the San Francisco Rotary Foundation, and Past President Rhonda Poppen. Dora, Secretary, recorded the minutes.

Minutes: The Board reviewed and approved the minutes for February 23, 2021 prepared by Dora.
District 5150 Awards for Club Excellence 2020-2021 Rotary Year: Dora reviewed the results of these Awards for our Club in 2020-2021 and announced that she would be submitting these results to Rotary District 5150.
Our Club co-sponsors the Rotaract Club at the University of San Francisco with the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown. Once vibrant, this Rotaract Club went dormant for a while due to the graduation of members and COVID-19.
Earlier this year, this Rotaract Club became active again. See the story here in this video clip. Dora and I were pleased to join these Rotaractors at the recent Earth Day clean-up with the Rotary Club of San Francisco Chinatown, the Rotary Club for Global Action, and the Rotary Club of Peninsula Starlight.
Twelve Rotary Club of San Francisco members participated in our April 29 social event - Family Feud! We had two teams, women vs. men, competing for a cash prize of $1,000 to support a charity of their choice. The house was packed with friends and family cheering for their favorite team!
Laine Hendricks' composure and touch of humor made for an awesome emcee! Mary Liu was the perfect game show host personality! Quick wit and a perpetual smile served her well!
Drivers needed to pick up pre-packaged meals at The Arc San Francisco and deliver to individual residences of Arc participants who are experiencing food insecurity. Exact directions will be provided when you pick up the meals. Hand delivery of meals must occur between 4 PM and 5:30 PM in advance of the Monday Night Dinner Club with Friends Like Me via Zoom to be held on the first and third Monday of each month.
Carnaval San Francisco (CSF) curates educational platforms and creates artistic spaces of revelry that heal, strengthen, and unite disenfranchised communities of color through the power of art and culture. Rodrigo Durán is CSF’s Festival Director since 2016 and will share some safe spaces he has created for the Latinx community to celebrate their cultures and languages. Advanced registration required. Christopher Pollock, Historian-in-Residence for the San Francisco Recreation and Park Department and author, shares with us the history and features of our beloved Golden Gate Park as well as the Park's recent 150th anniversary. Join us at this service opportunity to bag baby wipes for giveaway to clients of the Homeless Prenatal Program. We will meet at an open-air warehouse to allow social distancing while assembling the baby wipes. Participation is limited to FIFTEEN people, so sign up early. Masks are required; double masks are preferred.

In honor of Gay Pride Month, the Rotary Club of San Francisco will celebrate and learn from The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgences, a charity, protest, and street performance organization that uses drag and religious imagery to call attention to sexual intolerance and satirizes issues of gender and morality. During this presentation, Rotarians will have an opportunity to get to know Sister ZsaZsa Glamour and understand the services this Order provides to San Francisco and around the world.
