Marc PomerleauFrom Chinatown's beginnings during the San Francisco Gold Rush through the Civil War, bubonic plague, a flu pandemic, the 1906 earthquake, depressions, racism, and violence, generations of Chinese have persevered and Chinatown has endured. Explore the alleys of the oldest and most storied Chinatown with Marc Pomerleau as we journey through time with stories of the brutal and the beautiful, unfathomable adversity versus incredible courage and creativity. Also included in the tour is information about Bruce Lee, who was born in San Francisco, and the Tong Wars.  You'll emerge with fresh perspective and appreciation for how far we've come. The stories shared just may change the way you think about Chinatown, San Francisco, and the nature of our humanity forever.

The tour is open to our Club members, guests, and prospective members. Because of the realistic and sensitive nature of the subject matter, this is not appropriate for young children or members who may be sensitive or easily offended. Participants must be vaccinated, and should bring a face mask. The tour is outdoors and primarily a walking tour, so dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes.

Meet at Osmanthus Dim Sum Lounge located at 504 Broadway, San Francisco, CA 94133. Tour starts promptly at 11 AM; be sure to be on time. Tickets are $45 each. Tour is limited to 12 participantspurchase tickets here
