Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Overview

Attend this meeting to learn how you can get involved in what our Club is doing to address Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI). If you cannot attend this meeting, a similar one is being held at 5PM on August 2. Information about the August 2 meeting is available here.

The meeting will start with a report on the experimental small discussion groups that have been meeting for the past few months. Each group provides a forum where Club members can explore and share their own experiences with DEI-related issues, and think about what makes sense for our Club in relation to DEI. Everyone who has been involved in these groups has found them to be interesting and useful, and the discussions in these groups have spawned many interesting ideas about how the Club might evolve. Some of those ideas have already been implemented.

We'll also talk about what it's like to be in one of these groups, and what kind of commitment they require.

We will be launching several new small DEI groups in September. We will announce the dates and times for these new groups at this meeting, and club members will have the opportunity to sign up for those groups at this meeting.

This meeting will be held on Zoom. The Zoom link will be provided to all who register.
