Bouquets to Art (BTA) is a treasured tradition in San Francisco. Now in its 36th year, BTA brings over 100 creative floral interpretations of artwork into the deYoung Museum for a weeklong celebration of nature and art. BTA Co-Chair Jennifer Forbeck will bring you into the event, with a view behind the scenes of the history and the execution of BTA, as well as how we are adapting the event to the virtual world.
After studying at Northwestern University, Jennifer attended Sotheby’s Works of Art Course in London to pursue an interest in fine and decorative arts. She returned to her native Bay Area to work with The Lotus Collection, where she specialized in antique textile arts. Now the mother of twin boys, she began volunteering in children’s causes in Marin County, where she remains very involved. Three years ago, she joined the San Francisco Auxiliary of the Fine Arts Museums, the organization responsible for Bouquets on Art. She has held several positions with that group, including, this year, co-chair of BTA.
This is a regular membership meeting of The Rotary Club of San Francisco, open to all Rotarians, visiting Rotarians, prospective members, and guests. The meeting is free, but you must register by 11 AM on Tuesday, June 2, 2020. Connection information will be provided only to those who register by the above deadline. For technical support, please contact Secretary Dora Dye before 10:30 AM on June 2, 2020.
