Ringing the Bell for The Salvation Army 2021

On Friday, December 10, 2021, The Salvation Army will be holding its 40th annual Celebrity Bell Ringing event at Union Square. After a hard year when the bells were silenced, kettles, cans, and bells will once again “invade and overtake” Union Square. There will also be a roaming brass band playing Christmas music, a stage set up at Macy’s with live music throughout the event, and a number of local celebrities in attendance.
Members of the Rotary Club of San Francisco have proudly participated in this event for over a decade. Join the fun and witness entertaining philanthropy in action! Raise funds to help those in need at our Red Kettle, and show support for the merchants who have had a tough two years.
We need Rotarians to volunteer for at least one one-hour shift and welcome all who would like to stay longer. This will be an outdoor event. Accordingly, there is no vaccine requirement. Masks are optional.
