Join us and learn ways to be better at the bin with Hilary Ego, Recology Waste Zero Specialist! Hilary will discuss the history, benefits, importance, and the dos and don’ts of San Francisco’s recycling and composting programs.

Hilary is a Waste Zero Specialist at Recology, where she works with members of the San Francisco community to help San Francisco continue to be a global leader in zero waste and achieve their waste reduction and diversion goals. From presenting to large offices, to working with businesses to provide alternatives to disposable plastics, to managing appearances in community parades, to tabling at community events, Hilary communicates with energy, passion, and positivity to excite people about zero waste. Hilary’s passion for sustainability started at a young age, by starting her school recycling program, receiving her Bachelor degree in Environmental Studies and a Master degree in Water Resources Management, and continuing on to a career to inspire people to change the world. This speaker is part of our series of speakers on San Francisco Still Knows How.
