Dr. Diane BirnbaumerDr. Diane Birnbaumer returns to our Club with an update on COVID vaccines, new medications, and thoughts about what may be coming next. She will also explain why the science seems to "change" over time to help us understand the reasons why data from one part of the pandemic may not apply even just a few months later.

Dr. Birnbaumer received rave reviews for the informative presentation she gave to our Club about the then new vaccines on March 23, 2021.

Board certified and residency trained in both internal medicine and emergency medicine, Dr. Birnbaumer is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and Emeritus Professor of Medicine at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. She is also a Senior Clinical Educator in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, California.

Dr. Birnbaumer has given over 2,500 lectures in her career locally, nationally, internationally, and virtually. Among other honors, she has received the American College of Emergency Physicians Outstanding Speaker of the Year Award, the Outstanding Contribution to Education Award, and the Lifetime Education Award at Harbor-UCLA’s Department of Emergency Medicine.
