What a strange year this has been! We live in a community in need this holiday, and here is one way we can safely make a difference and help the ARC San Francisco clients. The Rotary Club of San Francisco will deliver a meal to those most in need and food insecure this Thanksgiving.

If you have participated in the past, this year the volunteer roles will shift a bit, but the result of a nutritious meal will be the same. In all cases, our concern for the health and safety of Rotarians,  ARC staff, and clients is the highest priority. We’ll need volunteers to help package the meals Monday (November 23, 2020) evening, or organize the deliveries on Tuesday (November 24, 2020) morning, or deliver meals from San Mateo to Novato on Tuesday (November 24, 2020) morning. Can you help? To register for any or all three of the jobs, please contact Marti Sullivan by noon on Monday, November 23, 2020 and tell her whether you are interested in job No. 1, job No. 2, job No. 3 or more than one of the  jobs listed below:

1. Monday, November 23, 2020, late afternoon and evening, start time TBD

8-10 volunteers needed to pack 300 meals into 150 bags. Volunteers will be working at individual stations at The Arc. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be provided.

2. Tuesday, November 24, 2020, 9 AM - 11:30 AM

4-6 meal organizers and runners to organize the meals per delivery route and to place the meals in the cars of the drivers.

3. Tuesday, November 24, 2020, 10 AM to 12 Noon

15 drivers (can be solo or with one passenger) to deliver meals in Marin, San Francisco and San Mateo Counties. Food will be brought to cars to limit contact. Recipients will be notified to be ready to accept the meals.

Tuesday, November 24, 2020, 1 PM to 3 PM

Zoom Thanksgiving Party will take place, and Rotarians are invited! For the Zoom link, please contact Marti Sullivan.

Join us for this great kick-off to the holiday season.
