We live in a community in need this holiday, and here is one way we can safely make a difference and help The Arc San Francisco participants. The Rotary Club of San Francisco will deliver a meal to The Arc SF participants in need and food insecure this Thanksgiving.

If you have participated in the past, we shifted last year the volunteer roles, but the result of a nutritious meal will be the same. In all cases, our concern for the health and safety of Rotarians, The Arc SF staff, and participants is the highest priority. We’ll need volunteers to help package the meals on Monday, November 22, 2021 in the late afternoon and evening or deliver meals to participants in the Bay Area on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 in the morning. Can you help? To register for any of the jobs, please contact Barbara Streett by noon on Monday, November 15, 2021 and tell her whether you are interested in one of the following jobs listed below:

1. Monday, November 22, 2021, late afternoon and evening, start time TBD

5-7 volunteers needed to pack 300 meals into 150 bags. Volunteers will be working at individual stations at The Arc SF, 1500 Howard Street, San Francisco, CA. Masks, gloves, and hand sanitizer will be provided and are required while at The Arc.

2. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, 10 AM - 11:30 AM or completion of route

12 drivers (can be solo or with one passenger) to deliver meals in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties. You will receive a route of 8-10 stops. Food will be brought to cars to limit contact. Recipients will be notified to be ready to accept the meals; you can also text them when you are near. Mask required during drop-off/interaction with participants.

3. Tuesday, November 23, 2021, 1 PM to 3 PM

Zoom Thanksgiving Party will take place, and Rotarians are invited! For the Zoom link, please contact Barbara Streett.

Join us for this great kick-off to the holiday season!
