Allegory of California by Diego RiveraImagine experiencing the elegance of San Francisco’s finest Art Deco interior while supporting opportunities for Bay Area high school students to learn leadership.  ALPS, the Rotary Club of San Francisco’s Action Leadership Program for Students, pairs trained adult leadership coaches with youth to bring to fruition student-generated and student-led community improvement projects in Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo counties.  ALPS youth leaders have designed community projects in mental health support, urban green space development, small business marketing, Asian American Immigrant labor rights, elementary literacy, and many other social issues.

Please join us on April 1, 2022 from 6 to 9 PM for the Third Annual ALPS ‘Fund the Future’ Gala to raise much needed funds to expand the program.  The venue is the historic, art-filled, Art Deco masterpiece - The City Club of San Francisco, located on the 10th Floor of 155 Sansome Street in San Francisco’s Financial District.

The evening features student stories of their ALPS journeys and leadership learnings as well as cocktails and wine, hors d’ oeuvres, live auction, silent auction, revelry, warm fellowship, live music by the Spencer Hoefert Quartet, dancing if you wish, and an immersion in Art Deco friezes, metalwork, sculpture, and paintings, including Diego Rivera’s first fresco, The Allegory of California, pictured here and painted in the U.S. around 1930.

Proof of Vaccination Required

To maximize the health and safety of Rotarians, guests, speakers, and the staff at The City Club of San Francisco (where we meet for this event), all in-person attendees must provide proof of vaccination. Masks are optional during the event. We recommend that fully vaccinated individuals wear masks when the risk may be high.
