Volunteer Service Opportunity for RotaCare

RotaCare Bay Area is a volunteer alliance of medical professionals, organizations and community members dedicated to providing free primary, quality healthcare services to uninsured families and individuals with limited ability to pay for medical care. RotaCare was founded over 30 years by Rotarians and continues today with the financing, time, and talents of many Rotarians throughout the Bay Area, including the Rotary Club of San Francisco.

Come join us at the Spring Fun, Health, and Safety Fair on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at the Serramonte Shopping Center in Daly City from 10AM - 2PM. This opportunity provides the chance to meet community members and share information about the RotaCare Services in the Bay Area.

For this opportunity we are looking for 6-10 volunteers (clinical and non-clinical welcome) to work in 2-hour shifts, 10-12, 11-1, 12-2 and help with the following:

• Distribute flyers and encourage individuals to take and share flyers with others who may need our services in the local community.
• Network with other community organizations participating in the health fair.
• Offer free blood pressure and oximeter readings, and provide some health education to health fair attendees. (We will have blood pressure cuffs, stethoscopes and an oximeter at the table.)
• Provide information about the medical record technology used in servicing the community. (Bob will be on hand for this.)
