Like Rotary, Engineers Without Borders is committed to making clean drinking water available in the developing world.

Representing the UC Berkeley student chapter of Engineers Without Borders, Daryl Barth, Kaat Ceder and Rahul Batra will speak about the arsenic remediation project they have worked on for the past five years in southern Peru as well as their upcoming projects in Nicaragua and Panama.

Daryl is a junior from Dallas, studying Materials Science. She is the Peru Project Lead for Engineers Without Borders at UCB, as well as the publicity head for an improv team on campus. In her free time she loves to go camping and explore California.

Kaat is a sophomore from Boston, studying Civil and Environmental Engineering. She is the Fundraising Chair of Engineers Without Borders and is part of the Cal Steel Bridge Competition Team. In her free time she enjoys camping, traveling to new places, and reading.

Rahul is a senior from Walnut Creek, studying Chemical Engineering. He is the Professional Liaison of Engineers Without Borders and the President of the American Institute of Chemical Engineers. In his free time, he enjoys sailing, biking, and exploring the Bay Area.

Enjoy lunch with your fellow Rotarians as we hear about the work they are doing to bring clean water to the developing world.
