Please see this warm invitation from Christopher Wiseman, your 2020 World Wide Rotary Day Event Chair! World Wide Rotary Day is a day to celebrate Rotary's strong international bonds with the international consuls general of San Francisco, enjoy an amazing lunch, and listen to a panel of experts discuss three of Rotary International’s pillars that benefit the climate.
Seating is limited. Please be sure to RSVP so we can be sure there are enough seats for everyone who wants to attend. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT.
Grant season has begun for the Rotary Club of San Francisco! This is an opportunity for Rotary members to request funds for projects (or events) that are centered around Rotary’s six areas of focus: peace and conflict prevention/resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy, and economic and community development. We are excited to see the new and innovative projects Rotarians will bring us this grant season! Be sure your grants provide plenty of Rotarian involvement because what better way to serve than to serve together?
President Casey Blair (Financial Services: Private Trading | KCB Trading, LLC) opened by thanking president-elect JT Forbus (Accounting | Bogdan & Frasco) for hosting on February 11, 2020.
Join us and learn ways to be better at the bin with Hilary Ego, Recology Waste Zero Specialist! Hilary will discuss the history, benefits, importance, and the dos and don’ts of San Francisco’s recycling and composting programs. This speaker is part of our series of speakers on San Francisco Still Knows How.
Enjoy the opportunity to make dinner and share it with new friends at The Arc. Rotarians are invited to join the fun at one dinner a month: come once, or make it a regular commitment! Open to family and friends who are over 17.
Learn about the great work being done in your name by our Club in this update on how our many service projects are making a difference in San Francisco and around the world. Get the info you want during the Q&A session. And be there to appreciate members who will be given special awards by leaders of Rotary District 5150.
Dan Joraanstad, Vice President of Membership, will offer a brief training to new and prospective members immediately following the regular luncheon meeting. The training will last about 30 minutes. Whether you are new or returning, everyone is welcome!

Everyone involved in Rotary leadership should attend this annual assembly to learn how to work effectively under the leadership of District Governor-Elect Mary Bates. Come also to cheer on our President-Elect JT Forbus as he embarks on his year as our President. This event is a must for all committee chairs and incoming leaders. Deadline to register is March 18, 2020. No walk-ins allowed!
World Wide Rotary Day honors the San Francisco Consular Corps as the special guests of the Rotary Club of San Francisco. One of the most popular programs on our Club's annual calendar, WWRD was founded in 1997 to recognize our Club's international service activities and the support of The Rotary Foundation of Rotary International. This year, we will feature a distinguished panel of leaders connecting the world to discuss three of Rotary International’s pillars that benefit the climate: fighting disease; providing clean water, sanitation, and hygiene; and growing local economies. As always, many members of the Consular Corps of San Francisco will attend as our guests.
We need Club members to volunteer to serve as hosts for visiting consuls. If you are interested in hosting a consul, please contact JT Forbus.
Please RSVP well in advance so we can be sure to have enough seats for all who want to attend. NO WALK-INS WILL BE ALLOWED AT THIS EVENT.
Join us to deliver socks to San Francisco Police Department’s homeless outreach team. We will meet with the SFPD at 850 Bryant at 5:30 PM. After our brief conversation, we will walk over to the Mars Bar for a bite to eat and more conversation.
The needs of children are often not part of routine disaster planning and preparedness. Patricia Frost, Vice Chair of the National Pediatric Disaster Coalition, will highlight what has been learned during 9-11, H1N1, Katrina, Sandy Hook, wildfires, and earthquake events and how efforts to create emergency medical systems of care for children may be able to make the critical difference.
